Any student interested in an internship, and in earning ECTS from the intership, needs to insert it in the study plan among optional courses – this can be done before the internship or after the internship -- with a suitable codice described here. In alternative, a student may choose to undertake an internship and earn no ECTS from that.
In order to identify a firm/organization for an internship, it may be helpful to consult the database available here of firms/organizations which have an agreement with UniFi to accept UniFi students as interns. After identifying a suitable firm/organization with an open position, the student can apply for the position – this is somewhat similar to applying for a job. If the student is accepted as an intern, then the student needs to follow the steps described in this page, beginning with Enabling the Internship.
Some firms/organizations where past students of Economics and Development have been interns are listed here.

If a student wants to undertake an internship at a firm/organization which has no internship agreement with UniFi, then it is necessary beforehand to establish such agreement. In particular, the firm/organization needs to access the database here to initiate the procedure to establish an agreement (credentials are necessary, which can be obtained by clicking on iscrizione on line in the page here). Information on the procedure can be obtained from stages@adm.unifi.it.
Professor Filippo Randelli is in charge of internships for students of the MSc in Economics and Development. Please contact him at filippo.randelli@unifi.it if you need assistance.
