PhD Admissions

Graduates of the MSc are also well prepared for an academic career, as shown by significant number of graduates entering PhD programs in Economics or related topics.

A professor of the MSc, Antonio Villanacci, is available to advise students interested in entering a PhD program and to help them in preparing their applications.

MSc students admitted in PhD programs in the last few years.

 

The department of Economics and Management is involved in two PhD programms in Economics: DELoS PhD in Development Economics and the Phd programme in Economics of the Tuscan Universities

Delos PhD in Development Economics aims at providing students with the methodological toos necessary to analyse the social and economic structures and political institutions of developing countries, their evolution over time and their relations with development countries and the international economy.

The PhD in Economics of the Tuscan Universities is jointly offered by the University of Florence, University of Pisa and University of Siena. It aims at training students for a career as economics in academic institutions or in research departments of corporations or public organizations.
