The research NGO called Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), jointly with the University of Firenze, offers four online courses on subjects of interest for students of the curriculum Development Economics, to be held between February and May 2025. Each student can enroll in one course only, which can be included in the student’s study plan among optional courses.
Each course is asyncronous, but 2-3 sessions of questions and answers will be offered. Please find more information here. The program director is professor Luca Tiberti.
Applications are due by December 2, 2024; please find more information here. In addition to the application, each student wishing to enroll in one course should send to Cecilia.Dagostini@pep-net.org a short motivation letter of maximum of 250 words which should include the following information:
• Background information, including the year of enrolment in the Master Economics and Development;
• Relevant education and professional experience, including exams passed (with grades) and work related to the chosen course;
• Reason(s) to attend the course;
• Expected benefits of attending the course for studies (like for the master thesis) and future career.
Attending one course is free of charge for students who are regularly enrolled in the master program Economics and Development (as per the agreement between PEP and Unifi). However, slots are limited and will be assigned depending on the quality of the information provided in students’ motivation letters. These courses are conceived only for highly motivated students who intend to attend the course regularly throughout the session.
